Disfrutenlos.

Carlos Oquendo de Amat

A Peruvian vanguardist poet born in Puno (Peru) in 1906, and deceased in Madrid (Spain) in 1936 during the spanish civil war.

His only published opus is the books of poems "5 metros de poemas" (5 meters of poems), which apart from having the poems in a free typographical style, was originally publish on continuous sheet of paper, not quite 5 meters long but rather a bit over 4 meters (4.15 m). The poet also published other poems in newspapers and magazines.

I first met one of his poems ("madre") in elementary school, and later read "5 metros de poemas" in a re-edition at the early 1980s.

Here I have tried to replicate as best as possible the peculiar typography of his book of poems. Enjoy them.

Our son is here!

Our son Daniel Ken was born on March 09, 2009 at 14:39 PET (UTC - 5). We are happier than we've ever been in our lives.

Now the real work begins, helping a new life develop into this world.
